Letitia was born in 1878 in Canterbury to William and Louisa Andrews. William was a retired Sergeant Major, originally part of the 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars. They had two more daughters named Mary Elizabeth Andrews and Lilian Victoria Andrews. By 1881 the family was living in Caersws in Montgomeryshire (where Mary and Lilian were born).
In 1899 Letitia married grocer’s assistant Robert Thomas Williams (born 1878 in Liverpool). At the time Letitia was not working. By 1911 the family were living in Wernoleu, Llangedwyn, with Robert working as Parish overseer. In May 1900 Elsie May was born, with William Kenneth being born soon after on 1st October 1901.
The family continued to stay at Llangedwyn, where Robert worked as a grocer at the Green Shop and William as a baker.
Living with them was an R Watkin on 6th April during the 1921 census, seeking work.
