Margaret Cochrane was born Liverpool on 23 April 1872. She was the daughter of James and Mary Cochrane. In 1891 Margaret was working at Leeds Union Infirmary for Sick and Infirm Inmates Beckett Street, Leeds.
In 1905 and 1915 she is listed on the register of midwives working at Morda Workhouse. She was still living in Oswestry in 1925 as she was listed on the Nurses Register her address was given as c/o Mrs England, Victoria Road Oswestry.
