Elizabeth Dora Boucher was born in Stratton Audley, Oxon in 1851, the daughter of a school master.
In 1887 she married George Fulcher and they had four surviving children: Beatrice Mary (1887), George Frank (1890), Gertrude Mable (1893) and Eva Gladys (1901). In 1891 the family was living at 4 Sathford Road, Cosgrove Northampton. George was working as a sanitary inspector.
After the death of George’s father in 1898 the family moved to Shropshire so George could take over the post of master at the Morda workhouse. In 1901 he was master with his mother Mary as Matron and his wife Elizabeth Dora listed as a Laundress. By 1911 Elizabeth had been promoted to assistant matron. Children Gertrude Mabel and Eva Gladys still live with them.
Elizabeth died in January 1933, leaving £255 17s to daughters Beatrice Mary and Eva Gladys. She is buried with her husband in Oswestry Cemetery.
