Edythe lived in her family home all her life and died there in 1937. She had 3 brothers and 1 sister. In her later years she lived with just her brother Edward (1852) a retired farmer in the 19 roomed hall with servants: John Jones (Groom) Rosa Ellis (Cook), Catherine Thomas (Ladies maid), Eva Hammond (Domestic waitress) and Emily Croft (Housemaid).
Edythe joined the Montgomeryshire VAD, dates not available, as a nurse. Edythe worked full time for 6 months and then reduced her hours to part time. Her VAD card is not very clear, she worked 70 hours at a Whitchurch hospital and the rest of her time was at an unspecified Oswestry hospital.
